At Towne South Animal Hospital (TSAH) our goal is to provide your pet with the highest level of quality veterinary care available in Shreveport, LA. We sincerely thank you for the opportunity to serve you and to make your pet part of the Towne South Animal Hospital family.
History of the Clinic:
Towne South Animal Hospital has served the Shreveport-Bossier area since 1974. Kathryn McFadden, D.V.M. purchased the practice in 1991 and is currently the sole owner. In 2002 she remodeled and expanded the facility. She added Camp Cosbie, Camp Kitty Kat and expanded the treatment area. In addition, the entire facility was refurbished. All areas are monitored for fire and security 24 hours a day. Dr. McFadden brought aboard two Veterinarians and increased her staff to accommodate her Hospital’s growing needs. The Shreveport Chamber of Commerce presented Dr. McFadden and Towne South Animal with the 2004 Small Business of the Year Award.
Our Services
We are a full service facility for small animals. TSAH offers veterinary services ranging from check-ups, vaccinations, dental exams, dental cleanings, therapy laser treatments and digital radiographs. We also provide our patients with state-of-the-art Laser Surgery equipment. We offer a quality line of Science Diet and Purina CNM prescription foods and Purina Pro Plan and iVet foods for non-prescription diets. Because we care about your pet’s health, TSAH offers top-of-the-line heartworm preventatives and flea control products. We believe preventative measures are certainly the key to good health.
Our pet boarding and kennel facilities consist of Camp Cosbie for canines and Camp Kitty Kat for felines. Our canine friends stay in a separate boarding facility with a specially designed campground with a swimming pool, play area and hiking trails. Our feline friends stay in the lap of luxury in their own separate room with quiet music and specially designed playroom. No dogs allowed here! Ask for a tour of our boarding facilities anytime after 10 am. Our staff takes pride in making each stay a pleasant one.
We would like to set appointments for your pet’s needs. However, walk-ins are welcome. Please note if at any time we have an emergency during your scheduled appointment we will assess the emergency first, which may cause a delay in your pet’s actual appointment time. We certainly appreciate your patience if this should ever occur.
Our clinic hours are:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday-- 7:00am to 8:00pm
Saturday – 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 noon.
Sunday--12:00pm to 4:00pm
