Allergies and Your Pet
Just like us, our pets can suffer from allergy problems!  Many things can cause an allergic reaction in your pet including grasses, mold, pollen, food, and much more!  Generally, the most common form of allergic reactions in pets are visible on the skin, however food allergies can cause vomiting as the primary clinical sign.

Some signs of an allergy problem in your pet are:
  • Licking or chewing at the skin, especially the feet
  • Scratching or rubbing the muzzle and/or ears
  • Frequent head shaking
  • Red, inflamed skin
  • Vomiting

If your pet is suffering from allergies, we have many options to help alleviate the problem.  Our Veterinarians will assess your pet's condition to determine the best option available for you and your pet.  We have medications, such as Atopica;  we can perform allergy testing and start your pet on allergy injections, or recommend a special diet. These are just a few of the options available for managing your pet’s allergy condition.
